Mario Hermoso has officially signed a three-year contract with Roma as a free agent, reportedly worth €3.5m per season.
The transfer window has officially closed in Italy, but clubs can still bring in players who are free of contracts.
He flew in on Sunday and underwent his medical, then put pen to paper on the deal this evening.
There are reports that it is a three-year contract, but with a clause allowing him to leave in June 2026.
The cost of the salary is expected to be circa €3.5m per season.
He has chosen the Number 22 jersey.
Hermoso reinforcement for Roma
The Spain international turned 29 in June and was released by Atletico Madrid five years after his €25m transfer from Espanyol.
Hermoso is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy and also had a spell with Real Valladolid.
A central defender who can also play at left-back, he had been in talks with numerous clubs this summer, including Milan, Inter, Napoli, Al-Ittihad and Al-Shabab.
