Milan have announced the departure of Jens Petter Hauge, who leaves for Eintracht Frankfurt after only one season at San Siro.

The Norwegian winger moved from Bodo/Glimt to San Siro last term, after his impressive performance against the Rossoneri in the Europa League preliminary rounds.

After 24 games and five goals in the Diavolo shirt, Hauge has now joined Frankfurt and departs Italian football after only one year.

“AC Milan announces it has sold the sporting performances of Jens Petter Hauge to Eintracht Frankfurt on a temporary loan basis, with an obligation for a definitive purchase upon the occurrence of certain conditions,” the club wrote in a statement.”

“The Club would like to thank Jens Petter for always showing the utmost professionalism and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future.”

  1. My thoughts exactly, Diaz and hague have serious star potential.

Why snap up young talent then sell on for a few mil in profit.

Tonali will prove to be a waste, he didn’t show anything to support the hype

  2. Senseless decision, but it has happened purely for price tag reasons. The kid has rightly and most likely asked for guarantees on play time, and Milan can’t give him that because Ante and Leao are ahead of him. I understand Ante is the experienced pro and I really do think Leao has potential, but at no stage in Leao’s Milan career has he truly showed it consistently. Leao stays because he was a huge investment.
Hauge has felt at home with Milan from the first minute. Not to mention contributing some excellent goals, including the vital 3rd goal vs Napoli away. Purely from a footballing point of view, this is a senseless decision. Even more so when it isn’t a dry loan. The kid will go to Frankfurt and will without a doubt show his qualities.

  3. @Jon. Not sure why Tonali is brought into the conversation when he isn’t vying for a place vs Hauge. Regardless, Tonali will prove to be anything but a waste. He will 100% prove his worth to Milan.

@ACM. Colombo* is a striker, and no he shouldn’t be sold. Hauge’s hurdle to the first 11 are Ante and Leao. A young player who still has a lot to learn. I agree on Maldini though.

  4. Every sphere of human endeavors, politics always come into play. Maldini couldn’t stand selling his son but opt for hauge all in the name of family heritage and legacies! Totally understandable because if I were in his shoes, I might do the same. But selling hauge is indeed a huge waste.

  5. @Adeleye junior

Nonsense. Hauge generated a 12m capital gain, while Maldini jr currently wouldn’t bring a third of that. Secondly, Hauge wouldn’t accept being the third choice at left-wing, while Maldini jr would be suited for that role.

Daniel Maldini is talented too. He’s the kind of player to mature a little later though, and he needs to work on his body by adding some muscles.

  6. Could come back to haunt Milan. They’ve sold players before cheaply, and then regretted it. A one or 2 year loan to another Serie A side might have suited him.
But the Italian sides are so broke now that they’ll take any offer.
    Dreadful, dreadful mercato so far.

These are some of the players that has left/is leaving Serie A so far:
Donnarumma, Hakimi, Milenkovic, Romero, De Paul, Lukaku, Hauge, maybe Vlahovic and Martinez next.
But not to worry – we’ve got that waster Felipe Anderson back, so all’s well. 👍
