Hellas Verona have officially appointed 2006 World Cup winner Fabio Grosso as their new Coach.

The club was recently relegated after one year in Serie A and parted company with tactician Fabio Pecchia.

Grosso took Bari to the Serie B promotion play-offs, but left after they were eliminated by Cittadella.

“I am happy and honoured to be the new Coach of Hellas Verona,” Grosso told the official club website.

“I can’t wait to begin this new adventure. We’ll see each other soon.”

He signed a contract at the Stadio Bentegodi until June 2020.

The 40-year-old began his management career in the Juventus youth academy in 2013.
