No Serie A players feature in Germany’s World Cup squad as Hans-Dieter Flick has snubbed Inter full-back Robin Gosens.

The Nerazzurri defender put his name on the scoresheet in Inter’s 6-1 win over Bologna at San Siro on Wednesday night but hasn’t been a regular starter under Simone Inzaghi since his move from Atalanta this past January.

He has not been included in Germany’s World Cup squad, where there are no Serie A representatives.

Flick has just confirmed his 26-man squad list for Qatar 2022, confirming that the ex-Atalanta star won’t join his national team at the World Cup.

Gosens has been struggling with fitness during his time at Inter. He had suffered a severe hamstring injury at Atalanta at the end of 2021 and made his debut with Inter on March 1, 2022, almost two months after joining the Nerazzurri.

He has three goals in 26 appearances with the Serie A giants and collected 14 appearances and two goals with his national team.
