Germany announce 23-man squad for Italy clashes in Nations League quarter-finals
Coach Julian Nagelsmann’s squad includes only three strikers, though Karim Adeyemi, Jamal Musiala, and Leroy Sané—formally listed as midfielders—can all operate in advanced roles.

Nagelsmann also faces selection challenges due to injuries to key players such as Florian Wirtz and Kai Havertz, who have been left out of the squad.
The Azzurri will host their rivals at the San Siro on March 20 before traveling to Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion for the return leg on March 23.
Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is also included in the squad, along with former Roma center-back Antonio Rüdiger.

Nagelsmann’s side advanced to the quarter-finals as winners of their Nations League group, remaining unbeaten with four victories and two draws, showcasing their attacking prowess with a 5-0 win over Hungary and a 7-0 triumph against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
