Official: Genoa sack Andreazzoli

Genoa have officially sacked Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, paving the way for Thiago Motta to take over.

Andreazzoli pays the price for a poor run of results, despite making a winning start at the helm.

The 65-year-old only moved to Genoa in June after he almost guided Empoli to Serie A safety last season.

He won two and drew one of his first three competitive games but went on to lose five in six, including the Rossoblu’s 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Parma on Sunday.
