Gian Piero Gasperini has agreed a deal to remain at Genoa until 2017, the club has confirmed.
Club President Enrico Preziosi had already confirmed the news following a meeting today, but the club has now posted a statement on their official website.
“After meeting with Preziosi at the Grifone headquarters, the Coach, who has had a fantastic season with his lads, has reached an agreement for the extension of his contract,” the statement confirmed.

The deal will run until 2017, with the option for a further year.
“I’m very happy, it’s destiny for Genoa to be in my life,” Gasperini said.
“The intention is build a competitive team for the new season to reach our goals. It would be nice to start the next season with the same enthusiasm as we finished this one.”
