Milan defender Theo Hernandez has left the France squad due to an injury in his right adductor, Les Bles confirmed.

The Rossoneri star played 90 minutes in last night’s 2-1 loss against Napoli at the Stadio Meazza. He joined his national team in the morning but was sent back to Milan with an injury in his right adductor.

Les Blues have confirmed through their official Twitter account that Lucas Digne has replaced the ex-Real Madrid defender in the France squad.

The defending World Cup winners will face Austria and Denmark in the Nations League this week.

Theo, 24, has scored one goal and delivered two assists in nine games across all competitions with Milan this term.

He made his senior France debut in September 2021 and has one goal in seven appearances with Les Blues.

He extended his Milan contract in February 2022 and his current deal at the Stadio Meazza runs out in June 2026.
