Fiorentina have officially announced the arrival of Brazilian forward Arthur Cabral from FC Basel.
The 23-year-old Brazilian striker has been signed by the Viola as a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who made an €80m move to Juventus yesterday. His departure was a problem for coach Vincenzo Italiano, who lost a consistent goalscorer, and so the Viola hope Cabral can fill the Serbian striker’s boots.
Fiorentina announced Cabral’s arrival on their Twitter page earlier today, and he’s expected to make his debut for the club in their upcoming Serie A clash against Lazio on February 5.
The deal is expected to cost Fiorentina €16m in total, and they’ll pay the Brazilian forward €1.7m net per season in wages.
The 23-year-old Cabral has been on fire this season for FC Basel; the player has made 31 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2540 minutes. In that time, he has scored 27 goals and provided eight assists.
