The Frenchman will be registered as a Fiorentina player until the end of the 2024-25 season, and will sign a four year contract after that if the move is made permanent.

Raffaele Palladino’s side have agreed to pay a small loan fee and will have an option to pay an additional €13m plus bonuses to sign him permanently.

Adli will wear the no.29 shirt during his first season in Florence.

His signing has not gone through in time for him to be included in the travelling squad to face Puskas Akademia in the second leg of the Europa Conference League play-off on Thursday night, but he could be included for the Serie A fixture against Monza on Sunday.

Adli has 39 appearances to his name during his time with Milan, 30 of which have come in Serie A.

The 24-year-old becomes Fiorentina’s sixth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Moise Kean, Marin Pongracic, Andrea Colpani on loan, Amir Richardson and Albert Gudmundsson.
