Fiorentina have announced the signing of France Under-19 goalkeeper Alban Lafont for a reported €8.5m.
The deal was confirmed in a statement on Fiorentina’s official website, Lafont having passed his medical on Monday, prior to penning a five-year contract.
Born in Burkina Faso but raised in France, the shot-stopper was named the second-most promising player in world football by the CIES Football Observatory earlier in the year.
