Fiorentina have officially sent Antonin Barak and Josip Brekalo to Turkish side Kasimpasa for the 2024-25 season.

The pair were not part of new coach Raffaele Palladino’s plans during the tactical revamp from predecessor Vincenzo Italiano.

Barak will turn 30 in December and was the first to make the transfer today.

It is a loan for one season and there is reportedly an option to buy for €6m.

The Czech international had been tested out a few times this season by Palladino in front of the defence, but failed to impress.

As for Brekalo, he spent last season on loan at Hajduk Split and was never included in Palladino’s squad this term.

The 26-year-old attacking winger has 35 senior caps for Croatia, but with his contract set to expire in June 2025, he was sold outright to Kasimpasa for an undisclosed fee and is flying in this evening.

There are another two players who are out of the Fiorentina group looking for new clubs, Abdelhamid Sabiri and goalkeeper Oliver Christensen.
