Former Manchester United and Lazio winger Nani has officially signed for Venezia.

The Veneto club agreed personal terms with the 35-year-old Portuguese winger earlier today and the contract was immediately signed. It has since been deposited to the league, making him available for Sunday’s match against Empoli.

This is Venezia’s second move of the January transfer window, following their acquisition of Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance. For Nani it’s a return to Serie A following his year on loan with Lazio.

The Portuguese winger is best known for his eight years with Manchester United, from 2007 to 2015. In that time, he scored 41 goals, provided 73 assists and won a number of honours, like four Premier League titles and the 2007/08 Champions League.

Venezia currently sit 17th in the Serie A table after 20 games, one point ahead of 18th place Genoa, although they have a game in hand due to the postponement of their match against Salernitana.
