The full-back had reached the end of his contract with la Viola and was looking for a smaller team to continue his career.
While Cagliari was believed to be close to the player, an official statement released by Empoli today confirmed Pasqual has been spoken for.

“Empoli FC communicate that they have definitively purchased the services of Manuel Pasqual,” reads the statement on their site.
“The player signed a contract that will bind him to the blue club until June 30, 2018.”
