As expected, Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Milan as a free agent. ‘I feel ready to take on this new challenge.’

The 22-year-old goalkeeper put pen to paper today in the PSG offices, having already undergone a medical during UEFA EURO 2020.

He was named Player of the Tournament as Italy lifted the trophy at Wembley Stadium, beating England on penalties on Sunday evening.

“I am very happy to be part of a big club like Paris Saint-Germain,” Donnarumma told the official club website.

“I feel ready to take on this new challenge and continue to grow here. I want to win as much as possible with Paris and give joy to the supporters.”

Donnarumma was a product of the Milan youth academy and given his Serie A debut at the age of 16, but refused their contract extension offer and allowed that deal to expire on June 30.

He was free to choose his next club and picked Paris Saint-Germain, where he is expected to earn €12m per season.
