Bologna have officially appointed former Italy CT Roberto Donadoni as the club’s new Coach.

The Rossoblu sacked Delio Rossi this afternoon following a poor start to the season, which has returned just six points from 10 games.

It was reported this morning that Donadoni, who spent last season at Parma, would be his replacement, and the appointment has now been made official.

Bologna have officially appointed former Italy CT Roberto Donadoni as the club’s new Coach.

“Roberto Donadoni is the new Coach of Bologna,” the Rossoblu announced in a statement on their official website.

“He will take charge of his first training session at Casteldebole tomorrow afternoon.

"He has signed a contract until June 30 2017. A presentation Press conference is due tomorrow at 17.30 (local time, 16.30 GMT)."

The former midfielder admitted last week that he was looking for another Coaching role, and will now attempt to turn Bologna’s fortunes around, starting at home to Atalanta this weekend.
