Sampdoria have officially parted with Coach Eusebio Di Francesco after a poor start to the season.
A statement on Samp’s contract confirms the club and Di Francesco severed their ties by mutual consent.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports he is walking away with €1.8m – amounting to one year of his three-year contract.
The former Roma boss only moved to Marassi over the summer, but six defeats and only one win from seven Serie A games have left the side bottom.
Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset, meanwhile, both claim Beppe Iachini is the favourite to replace the 50-year-old.
Iachini has already coached the Blucerchiati, taking them back into the top flight in 2012.
