Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul has officially signed a new five-year contract with Udinese until June 2024.

The creative midfielder has become a regular for his country thanks to the performances at club level in Serie A.

He had been linked with Milan, Inter, Napoli, Roma or Fiorentina over the summer, but has instead committed himself to the Friulani.

De Paul arrived in the summer of 2016 and notched up 18 goals in 116 competitive games for Udinese.

He had his best season in 2018-19, putting together nine goals and nine assists.

“We wanted to prove to Rodrigo just how valuable he is within our squad and above all continue to consolidate the team with contract negotiations carrying on with other players too,” said technical director Pierpaolo Marino.
