De Ligt Antiste

Matthijs de Ligt has been ruled out of Juventus-Roma while Alvaro Morata is available.

The Dutch defender has not been included in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad list for tonight’s match against the Giallorossi.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

De Ligt is not available due to adductor fatigue.

Therefore, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are expected to start in defence.

Juventus have Adrien Rabiot out of action with COVID while Paulo Dybala is recovering from a muscle injury.

The Argentinean star missed games against Chelsea and Torino before the break along with Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard has made a quick recovery and is available for tonight’s meeting at the Allianz Stadium.

However, he is expected to start on the bench with Moise Kean, Federico Chiesa and Federico Bernardeschi all featuring in the Old Lady’s attack.

Alex Sandro, Danilo and Rodrigo Bentancur returned from international duty on Friday night, but they are all eligible against Roma.

Allegri has only won two of his previous eight meetings with José Mourinho who collected four wins against the Italian.

  1. I pray to whatever god there is out there that Chiellini or Bonucci doesn’t get injured, otherwise Rugani might have a chance at starting and he is only at Juve because he is homegrown and that’s it. That’s all he offers. I’d rather have Danilo move into central defence because Rugani looks like a deer in headlights every time the ball is near him, he is either too afraid to go for a tackle or when he’s on the ball, he wants to get rid of it as soon as possible. It’s a shame he’s not kicked on from his Empoli days. He couldn’t even hack it at relegation side Cagliari so he can’t play at Serie A level anymore.

  2. This is why we should have believe in Romero. I too hope that our captain and Bonucci do not have any relapse before the game. I just do not have any trust in Rugani and god forbid any more injuries for the game next week against Inter.
