Brazilian fullback Danilo has agreed to a new contract extension, which will keep him tied to Juventus until the summer of 2025.

Online, Juventus have identified three words to describe their influential full-back: ”Spirit. Warrior. Leader.”

A statement on the club website reads: “Since his arrival at Juventus in August 2019, his attachment to our colours was immediate. He has become a point of reference and as of today his bond with our shirt becomes even stronger.”

The 31-year-old joined the Old Lady from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in 2019 in a part-exchange deal which involved Joao Cancelo moving in the other direction.

Since then, Danilo has gone on to register 142 appearances across all competitions in the Bianconeri, including 128 starts and 102 games in Serie A.

Danilo has also contributed with eight goals from right-back during his time in Turin, most recently grabbing the equaliser in the first half of Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Torino in the Derby della Mole.

Along with Filip Kostic, Danilo has featured in every one of Juve’s league fixtures so far this campaign.

Danilo and Juve’s next test comes at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, where they will face Roma in a potentially crucial battle in the race for European qualification.
