Cuadrado has signed a one-year deal at the Gewiss Stadium, Atalanta confirmed in an official statement on Monday.

“Atalanta BC are glad to announce that footballer Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello will don the black-and-blue shirt in the 2024/25 season having joined the Bergamo-based Club on a one-year deal,” the Nerazzurri said.

“Flaunting a highly-coveted tally of Club honours, the 36-year-old Colombian right-wingback’s cabinet comprises 6 Serie A titles, 4 Coppa Italia and 3 Italian Super Cups, one Premier League and one Football League cup.

“Upon landing in Italy 15 years ago (back in 2009) Cuadrado accrued 372 appearances, embellished by 43 goals and 66 assists, in the Serie A alone, across his stints at, in order of signing: Udinese (24 games), Lecce (33 matches, 3 goals and 2 key passes), Fiorentina (106 appearances, 26 nets and 21 key passes across all competitions), Juventus – defending La Vecchia Signora‘s shirt from 2015 to 2023 and playing a whopping tally of 314 games, bagging 26 nets and providing 65 winning passes globally – and then Inter, with whom he racked up 12 matches overall providing 2 assists last season.

“Circling back to his list of team honours, in Italy alone, Cuadrado has lifted: 6 Serie A titles (5 with Juventus and 1 with Inter), 4 Coppa Italia (every one of them lifted during his Juventus days) and 3 Italian Super Cups (namely, 2 as a Bianconero and 1, his latest, as an Inter Milan player).

“Additionally, as a result of his 6-months stint at Chelsea back in the 2014-2015 season, Juan can also boast the titles of Premier League and Football League cup winner.

“As far as European competitions are concerned, Cuadrado will bring an extensive wealth of experience on the Continental stage thanks to both his 59 appearances, 4 goals and 11 assists in the UEFA Champions League and his 21 caps, 4 nets and 3 key passes in the UEFA Europa League.

“A Colombian representative from 2010 to 2023, he defended La Tricolor‘s badge in 116 games (scoring 10 goals) and claimed two Copa America third places (in the USA 2016 and Brazil 2021).

“The Percassi and Pagliuca families and the whole Club would like to extend a warm welcome to Juan and wish him the best of luck in his future personal and team endeavours as a Nerazzurro.”
