Serie B side Crotone have officially signed Romania international defender Ionut Nedelcearu from AEK Athens.
The 25-year-old centre-back completed the surprise transfer, with Sportitalia reporting the cost of the operation was €1m plus add-ons.
He signed a three-year contract with the Calabria club, who were relegated from Serie A last season.
Nedelcearu had also been linked with Roma over the last few months, but instead has joined Crotone.
The defender has 13 senior caps for Romania, in which he scored two goals.
