Newly-promoted Serie A side have officially announced the arrival of Johan Vasquez on loan from Genoa with option to buy.
The Mexico international centre-back had joined Genoa in in the summer of 2021 from Pumas, initially on loan and then purchased for a total of €4m.
Following Genoa’s relegation to Serie B, Vasquez has signed up for a one-season loan with Cremonese, who just earned their promotion to the top flight as runners-up behind Lecce.
The cost of the operation is €500,000 for the 23-year-old defender, who has five senior caps for Mexico and won the bronze medal with Mexico at the Tokyo Olympics.
