As expected, Pantaleo Corvino has officially returned to Lecce as their technical director on a three-year contract.
The 70-year-old transfer guru is back at the Stadio Via del Mare for the first time since his tenure from 1998 to 2005.
He had been at Fiorentina – twice – and Bologna, but was always remembered for his time at Lecce.
As expected, Pantaleo Corvino has officially returned to Lecce as their technical director on a three-year contract.
The 70-year-old transfer guru is back at the Stadio Via del Mare for the first time since his tenure from 1998 to 2005.
He had been at Fiorentina – twice – and Bologna, but was always remembered for his time at Lecce.
Following their relegation to Serie B and the dismissal of director of sport Mauro Meluso, Corvino has now formally been appointed as technical director.
This will give him more powers than a simple director of sport, overseeing the youth academy as well as the training facilities.
Among Corvino’s famous discoveries as Lecce’s greatest talent scout were Valeri Bojinov, Ernesto Chevanton, Mirko Vucinic and Cristian Ledesma.
