The FIGC’s prosecutor has officially requested that Chievo be deducted 15 points for alleged false accounting.

The Flying Donkeys are accused of trading players with Cesena, who later went bankrupt, creating “fictitious profits” of €25m to allow them to continue to register for Serie A.

The first trial saw Cesena deducted 15 points, but a procedural error meant the charges against the Veronese club had to be resubmitted.

Last month new charges were officially filed, and it has been confirmed today that prosecutor Giuseppe Pecoraro has requested the same punishment as the botched first trial – a 15 point deduction and a 36 month ban for President Luca Campedelli.

In the first trial that would have applied to 2017-18 and meant relegation to Serie B, whereas if Chievo are found guilty this time they’d be deducted points for this season.

Cesena executives Samuele Mariotti and Guido Albini face 16 month bans if the court, chaired by Cesare Mastrocola, accepts the prosecutor’s requests.
