Cesena have confirmed that they have sacked Pierpaolo Bisoli as Coach, ahead of the expected appointment of Davide Ballardini.

Having failed to win a League game since the opening day of the season, the Cavallucci Marini’s 3-2 defeat this weekend to Atalanta was seen to have prompted the club to take action.

On from rumours this morning, they have confirmed that Bisoli has now been removed from his position on the bench, after eight points collected from the opening 14 rounds of Serie A.

“Cesena announces that, today, the Coach Pierpaolo Bisoli has been dismissed,” Cesean’s official statement on the matter reads.

“The company, with President Lugaresi, the Vice-Presidents Pransani and Urbini, and members of the technical area, thank Bisoli and his staff for the relationship of mutual respect established and for the work done over the years, coinciding with a remarkable survival from relegation [Serie B 2012-13] and a ride to the top flight that will remain in our history.”

Cesena are expected to appoint former player and youth team Coach at the club Davide Ballardini by this evening.
