Celta Vigo have officially announced that they’ve agreed a loan deal in principle with Roma for winger Carles Perez.
The Giallorossi have been hard at work this summer trying to streamline the squad for Jose Mourinho’s project in the Italian capital, and this includes the outgoing market as well as the incoming. Roma have already sold Jordan Veretout to Olympique Marseille and Alessandro Florenzi to Milan this summer.
As announced by Celta Vigo, they have now agreed a €1m interest-only loan deal in principle with Roma for Perez and they’ve scheduled the winger’s medicals ahead of a transfer this week. A €10-12m buy option has been attached to the deal.
The 24-year-old Spanish winger struggled for consistent minutes last season under Mourinho, only making three Serie A starts. In total, Perez made 28 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 993 minutes. In that time, he scored three goals and provided one assist.
