Sassuolo forward Francesco Caputo has officially extended his deal with the Neroverdi until June 2023.

Reports emerged that the 33-year-old had reached an agreement with Sassuolo and now it’s official.

The striker, who has contributed 11 goals in 25 Serie A games this term, signed a new two-year deal in Reggio-Emilia.

The reports have suggested Caputo and the club have included an option to extend his stay at the Mapei Stadium with a further year.

Caputo arrived at Sassuolo from Empoli for a reported €7.75m in July 2019 and has scored 32 goals in 62 competitive games with the Neroverdi.
