Former Milan and Netherlands midfielder Clarence Seedorf has been named the new Coach of Cameroon.

BBC Sport reports the Cameroonian FA went for Seedorf after a deal with ex-Lazio boss Sven-Goran Eriksson fell through.

The 42-year-old will be tasked with managing the country at the 2019 African Cup of Nations and will be assisted by fellow former Rossonero Patrick Kluivert.

The Sampdoria and Inter old boy previously coached Milan, Deportivo La Coruna and Chinese club FC Shenzhen but lasted less than six months in all three roles.
