Juventus have officially confirmed new contracts for Andrea Barzagli and Gianluigi Buffon.

As expected, the veteran pair have been handed new deals until 2018, almost certainly keeping them in Turin for the rest of their careers.

Barzagli’s deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but the defender has been given a two-year extension which will see him play until the age of 37.

As for Buffon, the Bianconeri and Italy captain has already announced his plans to retire after the 2018 World Cup, so he has been given a one-year extension to take him to the end of the 2017-18 season.

The news was confirmed by Juventus President Andrea Agnelli in a Press conference at Vinovo.
