Borussia Dortmund announced they have activated the purchase option on Emre Can and made the transfer from Juventus permanent.
The midfielder had moved on loan until June 2020 for €1m with an option to buy for €25m, which would become obligatory under certain circumstances.
It was never confirmed what those circumstances were, but Borussia Dortmund seem to have either reached it or chosen to activate the option early.

The 26-year-old German international made a spectacular start at Borussia Dortmund, scoring a long-range strike in one of his three competitive appearances for the club.
Juventus had picked him up as a free agent when his Liverpool contract expired in June 2018 and a statement from the Bianconeri confirms this brings €12.4m profit.
Emre Can has now signed a four-year contract with Borussia Dortmund.
