Marco Borriello has officially completed his move to Atalanta – “I’m very happy”.
The striker was frozen out by Carpi, despite four goals in eight Serie A starts so far this season and announced this morning that he'd be moving to Bergamo.
“Atalanta BC announces the outright signing of Marco Borriello from Carpi,” the Orobici confirmed in a statement.

“Atalanta BC announces the outright signing of Marco Borriello from Carpi,” the Orobici confirmed in a statement.
“The player, who will wear the number 22 shirt, underwent a medical this morning and will be available to Coach [Edy] Reja this afternoon.”
Borriello then spoke to the club’s official website about the transfer.
“It’s my first official day here, I’m very happy. I’ve joined an important and prestigious club, we hope that this club can become important at the European level in the future.
“The setup is definitely worthy of a top club. I want to continue to do important things here, I’ll go on the pitch to do what I’ve always done.
“I’ve never had any problems in terms of commitment.”
