Fabio Borini has officially returned to English football, with confirmation of his transfer from Roma to Liverpool having now arrived.

The 21-year-old Italian, an unused member of Cesare Prandelli’s Euro 2012 squad, had reportedly already agreed terms at Anfield, with Roma also saying yes to a reported €14m bid from the Premier League outfit.
Upon completion of his medical, the move has now been confirmed via a statement released on Liverpool’s website. An interview with Borini was also then published.
“It feels really good [to be at Liverpool] and to be back in England as well,” the youngster expressed.
“It's a top club that has won a lot of trophies in the past – and will do so in the future we hope as well. I've got the trust of the manager and the club, which for me is very nice and I'm proud to be here.”
After a year in Italy with the Giallorossi, in which Borini netted nine times from 24 League appearances, he is now reunited with manager Brendan Rodgers, who he has previously worked under at Chelsea reserves and Swansea.
“He was very important. I wouldn't say it was the key, but most of it came from him. Even during last season, I spoke with him a lot. I'd text him and ask if he was okay and congratulated him on the results he got with Swansea.
“First of all it is a relationship of friendship and afterwards it is a working one. That is more important than anything.”
Borini will wear the No 29 shirt for the English side.
