Official: Bologna vs. Inter declared abandoned

Bologna vs. Inter has been declared abandoned, so the Nerazzurri should get a 3-0 win by default, but the Rossoblu will likely lodge an appeal and win it.

Inter arrived at the Stadio Dall’Ara this morning for a game that they knew would not be played.

Bologna have been ordered into quarantine for five days by the local health authority, so players are not allowed to leave their homes and, let alone, go to the stadium and play against another team.

Marotta hopes for compulsory COVID vaccine and ‘more clarity’

Inter warmed up at the Stadio Dall’Ara, knowing they would not play the game.

The referee waited for 45 minutes before declaring the game abandoned.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta demanded more clarity from the Government, asking to reduce the ASL’s authority in terms of barring players and clubs from playing.

He also added that the vaccine booster should be mandatory for all athletes to avoid long quarantines in the future.

Lega Serie A has approved a new Serie A protocol today and three more games will be abandoned: FiorentinaUdinese, AtalantaTorino and Salernitana-Udinese.
