Bologna have officially sold striker Musa Barrow to Saudi Pro League club Al-Taawoun in a deal believed to be worth up to €8m.
The Gambia international had been left out of the squad all summer, as he did not have a part in coach Thiago Motta’s plans for this season.
He had also been linked with Turkish team Besiktas, but has now completed his transfer to Al-Taawoun FC.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the fee is worth €6m plus up to another €2m in performance-related bonuses.
Those will be activated if Barrow participates in 18 goals and the team finishes in the top four.
The 24-year-old spent his entire career in Italy, coming to the Atalanta youth academy in 2017, then moving to Bologna for €14.3m in 2021 following an initial 18-month loan period.
He scored 30 goals and provided 31 assists in 163 Serie A appearances between Atalanta and Bologna.
