Bologna have officially reached a deal to sell up to Giovanni Consorte and Massimo Zanetti of the Segafredo coffee company.
The club is on the verge of bankruptcy and President Sergio Porcedda is seeking new investors to save the side from going under.
A statement was released this afternoon pointing out that Consorte and Zanetti, representing the ‘Comitato Bologna 2010', have agreed to buy out the club.
“After a long and complex negotiation process to save and revive Bologna FC 1909, we have reached an agreement,” read the note.

A statement was released this afternoon pointing out that Consorte and Zanetti, representing the ‘Comitato Bologna 2010', have agreed to buy out the club.
“After a long and complex negotiation process to save and revive Bologna FC 1909, we have reached an agreement,” read the note.
“The talks were held via Intermedia Finance on behalf of Comitato Bologna 2010 with the owners of Bologna represented by Porcedda and Renzo Menarini.
“In the next few days, we will formalise all the contracts, administrative and financial issues to make the deal official.
“We wish to thank everyone who collaborated and contributed to the success of this operation.”
Bologna have already been docked a point due to financial irregularities and the squad began legal proceedings to force the issue over unpaid wages.
