Besiktas have officially announced the transfer of Ante Rebic, who will join in a definitive move from Milan.

The 29-year-old Croatian forward was cut from Stefano Pioli’s squad in the Lombardy capital and was not brought on the pre-season tour to the United States, making his position in the transfer market clear.

Besiktas made their interest in Rebic clear and negotiations with Milan progressed quickly, with the Turkish side agreeing to pay around €2m total for the 29-year-old, a €500,000 fee with €1.5m in add-ons.

As announced today, Besiktas have now officially announced the transfer of Rebic from Milan, releasing a statement confirming to the public disclosure platform.

Whilst the statement suggests that negotiations are ongoing, this is typical before a deal officially completes with a Turkish club, as seen with Mauro Icardi’s recent move to Galatasaray.

During his four years with Milan, Rebic scored 29 goals and provided 17 assists across 123 total appearances. He was a part of the squad that won the Scudetto in the 2021-22 campaign.
