As expected, Gonzalo Bergessio has officially signed for San Lorenzo with a contract to June 2017.
The striker was a free agent and therefore able to join Serie A clubs even after the transfer session closed.
He had been linked with Pescara, Chievo and Palermo.
However, this evening Argentine club San Lorenzo announced Bergessio had signed a one-year deal.
It’s a return to his former side, as he already scored 28 goals in 70 games in 2008-09.
