And after he was seen training on his own at the club’s Melwood training complex earlier, the Anfield outfit tweeted the news of the goalscorer’s arrival at 17.00 UK time.
The Italy international has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal, and is thought to have halved his Rossoneri wages in order to join Brendan Rodgers’ men.
“Confirmed: #LFC have today completed the signing of Italy international Mario Balotelli from AC Milan,” the statement read on the social networking site.
Balotelli hasn’t signed in time to play against his former side Manchester City this evening, but could make his debut for the Merseyside team against Tottenham on Sunday.
