Atalanta have officially signed Colombia striker Luis Muriel from Sevilla in a reported €18m deal.
Muriel is understood to have agreed a four-year contract with Atalanta, while it is possible they will pay €15m up front for the attacker.
The 28-year-old – who will wear the No 9 jersey – spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, scoring six goals in 19 appearances.
Prior to that, he played for the likes of Lecce, Udinese and Sampdoria in Italy.

Muriel became Sevilla’s record signing when he arrived from Samp in the summer of 2017 for an initial €20m, but struggled in Spain, netting just 13 times in 65 games.
Despite carrying a knee injury, which ruled him out of Copa America, he becomes the Dea’s first recruit since they qualified for the Champions League.
