Atalanta have announced that Ivorian winger Jeremie Boga has officially joined the club on a permanent transfer.
The Bergamo side will pay €18m for the 25-year-old winger in the summer, with the player joining the club on a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached. The move has been anticipated for a while now but things went quiet, raising doubts that a deal would be completed. Today’s announcement has now quelled those fears.
Boga is a fast, technical and skilful forward, who completed the most successful dribbles in Serie A in the 2021 calendar year. The winger is tactically flexible and can play in a number of positions up front.
The 25-year-old Ivorian, who is currently taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations, has made 12 appearances this season for Sassuolo, for a total of 673 minutes. In that time, he has provided three assists, struggling with a fever and other physical problems.
