Alessandro Diamanti has officially joined Atalanta for the rest of the season.
The attacking midfielder joined Watford in the summer, but has played just 65 minutes of Premier League football this season.
“Atalanta BC announces the singing of Alessandro Diamanti, who is bound to the Chinese club Guangzhou [Evergrande] on a multi-year contract, from Watford on a temporary basis,” a statement on the Orobici’s website confirmed.

“Diamanti, who will wear the number 23 shirt will arrive at the Bortolotti di Zingonia centre tomorrow, and will be available to Coach [Edy] Reja in the afternoon.”
Diamanti is still under contract with Guangzhou, and had been on loan with the Hornets for the last six months.
