Atalanta have officially been given the all-clear to play their Champions League games in Bergamo against Ajax, Liverpool and Midtjylland.

Since La Dea first began their climb up the ranks of Italian and European football several years ago, their home fixtures in UEFA tournaments were played elsewhere due to stadium insufficiencies.

They were either at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio-Emilia, used by Sassuolo, or last season at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

They were either at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio-Emilia, used by Sassuolo, or last season at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

The Gewiss Stadium underwent radical restructuring work over the last year and has now been given the all-clear to host Champions League football.

Atalanta confirm the first Group D game at the arena will be on October 27 against Ajax, followed by Liverpool on November 3.

The final home fixture of the group is with Midtjylland on December 1.
