Milan have officially sent Luca Antonelli to newly-promoted Empoli after he signed a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old left-back’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the season and has been terminated early by mutual consent.
His new contract with Empoli has been registered with the Lega Serie A.
“I just terminated my contract with Milan and I wanted to thank Galliani and Rocco Maiorino for giving me the opportunity to wear the jersey I always dreamed of since childhood,” wrote Antonelli on Instagram.

Antonelli came up through the Rossoneri youth academy and returned to San Siro in 2015 after spells with Parma and Genoa.
Last term, he was given only 13 competitive appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
