Defender Joachim Andersen has officially extended his contract with Sampdoria to June 2022, but remains on Inter’s radar.

The 22-year-old Danish centre-back had joined from FC Twente for just €1.4m in the summer of 2017.

His deal had been due to expire in June 2021, but this new contract adds another year and substantially improves his salary package.

The announcement comes just as rumours increase about a possible move to Inter.
