AEK Athens have officially appointed former Spartak Moscow coach Massimo Carrera as their new tactician.
He arrived in Greece today and signed a contract, replacing Nikolaos Kostenoglou, who himself had only taken over on August 26.
The Italian had ben assistant manager to Antonio Conte at Juventus and for the Azzurri before branching out on his own in 2016.
It proved a successful venture, as he won the Russian Premier League title with Spartak Moscow.
However, Carrera was also fired in October 2018 and had been taking a sabbatical.
