Milan have officially announced that goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has been given a new one-year contract.
The veteran shot-stopper’s contract expired yesterday, and it was unclear whether he would remain at San Siro next year.
However, in a statement posted on the club’s official website, the Rossoneri have confirmed that Abbiati will have a 15th season with the Diavolo.
“Today, Abbiati has extended his relationship with Milan,” the statement announced, confirming the deal will run until June 30, 2016.
