The right-back announced his retirement from playing at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, his 20th in the game, after suffering relegation with Lecce.
Looking to get back into the game as soon as possible, the full-back revealed there are three possible ways that could mark his return.
“At the moment I’m studying for the licence to become a Coach or a sporting director,” the veteran told Radio Sei on Friday.
“My future on the field? If something intriguing should come along then I might reconsider, but at 36 it is not easy.”
A member of Italy’s World Cup-winning squad of 2006, the player’s most productive spell in his career came at Lazio, where he managed 135 appearances in five seasons, as he reflected himself.
“At Lazio was where I developed and grew and where I experienced the most intense years, the best version of Oddo was seen at Lazio.
“At Milan there was a different atmosphere and another type of play and there I found many difficulties. But, the Rossoneri is where I won many victories and they will remain forever in my heart.”
