Oddo: ‘Jeers into applause’

Massimo Oddo says Pescara need to turn jeers into applause following a 14-match winless run.

Since beating Sassuolo in the second round of Serie A matches, the Delfini have drawn four and lost 10 of their games and lie second from bottom of the League table.

“We need the victory, it is the only medicine for us,” Oddo said as his side prepare to face Bologna. “We need to turn the jeers into applause.”

The former Milan defender has been conducting training behind closed doors this week and explained his decision to reporters.

“This decision was taken only to find the right concentration. I spoke to the team at the start of the week and told them they had to put everything that has happened so far to one side.

“During training I have seen some responses that will lead to me making decisions. For example, I have seen Manaj change a lot.

“I have rewatched the matches from the start of the year and we attacked with five attackers.

“However, what matters is how much you believe in giving the opposition problems.”
