“You can forget the Inter seen against Pordenone, because that was a different line-up, another context and a completely alternative approach to the game,” said Oddo in his Press conference.

The 0-0 draw at San Siro on Tuesday night was a huge shock and the Serie A leaders were forced into a penalty shoot-out by the Serie C minnows.

“Our approach must be positive and we’ll try to take all three points. I don’t want to see this mentality of ‘oh well, we’ve got nothing to lose.’

“It’s important to be balanced and acknowledge there will be moments when we are pegged back. I want to see courage, but that doesn’t just mean barrelling forward with our heads down. It means applying what we tried on the training ground and doing it without fear.”

Emil Hallfredsson and Valon Behrami are back in the squad, but not fit enough to play 90 minutes, while Gabriele Angella is injured.

“Hallfredsson is a very important player for us and I do have some doubts in midfield. It’s crucial to remain tight, because then we can make the most of counter-attacks.

“We must constantly be pressing them on the ball to push them back, from the defenders to the strikers.”

Udinese squad for Inter: Bizzarri, Gasparini, Scuffet; Ali Adnan, Bochniewicz, Danilo, Nuytinck, Stryger, Pezzella, Widmer; Balic, Barak, Behrami, De Paul, Fofana, Hallfredsson, Ingelsson, Jankto; Bajic, Ewandro, Lasagna, Maxi Lopez, Matos, Perica
